Dr. Hassan Farooq MD

Dr.Hassan Farooq is the founder of Doctor Is In, and he has been in the practice for over 31 years in internal medicine. Dr. Hassan Farooq, MD, RPVI, RCS, RVT, is a board-certified internist specializing in internal medicine, vascular interpretation, and cardiology. He attends patients in Greenville and Plano, Texas, and is the President of Doctor Is In, PA Clinics and Sensitivity Imaging Inc.

He has been active medically and DEA-certified since 1998 for internal medicine board certification. He is also the director of an accredited echocardiography lab, where he has realized his specialty is cardiovascular diagnostics. His clinical interests include diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, vascular disease, and respiratory care. For diagnosis, he employs sophisticated equipment for echocardiographic imaging (Siemens echocardiography), vascular imaging (vascular ultrasound), and bone density assessment (GE DEXA).

Dr. Farooq graduated from Nishtar Medical College in 1992 and completed their internal medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Amarillo, Texas. His expertise in vascular and cardiac care is supported by certifications including:

  • Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • Medical Research and Publications

In his research, Dr. Farooq has done much for cardiology, particularly in award-winning shows during his residency. He is also an author who has been published in Baylor Proceedings and the American Journal of Cardiology. He has clinical and research interests in cardiovascular diseases and medical devices, including valvular diseases, clinical trials, and data. The detailed case was one of severe regurgitation and the effect of anticoagulation in patients with myocardial infarction.

Dr. Farooq has specialized in managing and analyzing medical data. Thus, since 1998, he introduced electronic medical records (EMR), which have enhanced patient care organization. Their clinical efficiency has been improved due to their capability to deal with big data and its validation, XML programming, and SQL queries. The aspect includes real-time data analysis, programming using Open Data Kit (ODK), and forming structured medical databases.

Apart from clinical and research work, Dr. Farooq has worked as Chief of Staff at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville, SC, and as the Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine. He has taken a strong stand for the quality of health care through his oversight of
Dr. Farooq has a high passion for serving the community. Despite the time-consuming schedules, he has given his time to the DFW Refugee Relief program and the American Red Cross, delivering free medical services to people who cannot afford to pay. One of the humanitarian works that involves him is the weekly management of a Sunday Clinic for refugees from DFW.

Dr. Farooq practices medicine but also enjoys assembling circuits and constructing electronic diagrams. He also loves photography, especially landscape and macro, with upgraded camera+ accessories like Nikon. Also, he is a gifted singer and an excellent guitarist, contralto, and tenor of the Fender Stratocaster electric guitar and Yamaha Tyros keyboard, respectively.

Due to his always being patient-oriented, having a professional approach, and having years of service and application of modern technologies, Dr. Farooq has always received patient references.
